  • Fresh Air Sculpture Old Rectory, Church Rd, Quenington Cirencester GL7 5BN United Kingdom (map)

Fresh Air Sculpture is a biennial sculpture exhibition held in the expansive organic garden of The Old Rectory in the Cotswold village of Quenington. Fresh Air Sculpture exhibition, opening every day from 16 June – 7 July 2024, is a glorious celebration of contemporary art in the beautiful setting of The Old Rectory Gardens at Quenington in the Cotswolds.

Showcasing the work of over 100 sculptors and artists, there will be over 190 pieces on display this year. Monumental pieces nestle alongside smaller decorative pieces, all created to suit every size of garden, patio and outdoor space, that you could imagine.

The excitement of Fresh Air Sculpture is the huge diversity of materials used. Exploring media from stone to ceramics, glass to textiles, wood to resin, metal to mosaic. Enjoy modern, traditional and cutting-edge sculptures from leading UK and International sculptors and artists, which are all for sale during the exhibition. With installations on display throughout the gardens, there is something to see around every corner, looking through leafy vistas and alongside the river Coln, which runs through these beautiful gardens.

Converted into a modern gallery space, the theme for the exhibition in The Pool House this year is ‘Colours of the Garden’ showcasing the best in contemporary design and craft, including textiles, leatherwork, wire work, mosaic, willow, metalwork, glass, jewellery and ceramics, all for sale with prices to suit all pockets.

Fresh Air Sculpture 2024 will be the sixteenth outdoor selling exhibition that has been enjoyed by visitors from far and wide for the last 30 years, showing renowned national and international artists alongside emerging new talent. For three weeks from 16 June to 7 July 2024, the peaceful gardens with their meandering pathways and shady beeches will open to the public for Fresh Air Sculpture, the biennial contemporary sculpture show, which started back in 1991. The brainchild of Lucy and David Abel Smith, who have lived in The Old Rectory in the Cotswolds for 40 years.

Alongside pieces exhibited for the first time and created especially for Fresh Air Sculpture 2024, there will be works from Lucy and David’s permanent collection. The 2024 exhibitor list can be seen at freshairsculpture.com.
